The primary dose of the Tdap and Meningitis vaccines are
generally administered to adolescents in the 6th grade (or between the ages of
11-12). It is a state REQUIREMENT that we obtain proof that your student has
received the primary dose of both of these vaccinations PRIOR to their first
day of 8th grade. This applies to BOTH virtual and in person students this year.
Eighth grade students who have NOT provided us with this documentation will not
be permitted to attend classes until this documentation is provided.
There is no need to wait! This documentation can be
submitted to our nurse any time after your student receives these two vaccines.
Providing this proof promptly will ensure that your student will be ready to
start the 8th grade without delay.
